Summer is in full swing and while I’m excited about shorter hemlines and trying new sunscreens, one thing I simply can’t avoid is sweat. Each morning I’ll take a shower, swipe on my favorite deodorant, and commute by subway. If you’ve ever ridden the New York City subway system in the summer, you know it’s overwhelmingly hot. Even my fellow Floridians at the office agree it’s just too sweat-inducing underground. I live far away from the office, so walking and biking are out of the picture, and Uber fees add up. So the subway it is, but when I arrive at the office my skin is inevitably no longer feeling fresh and clean. Enter Nécessaire’s latest launches to remedy daily grime and BO: The Body Wipe and Eucalyptus Water.

What I Like

Body wipes aren’t a replacement for a proper shower with a body wash, but they’re a great supplement after exercising when we need to run errands or grab brunch with friends. I like to use them after commuting to the office, touching up before work events, and after a beach day. Sure, a beach shower can help, but they’re few and far between. Truthfully, I don’t have the patience to wait in line for one when it’s available, but using these textured wipes removes sand, sweat, and even my tinted EltaMD sunscreen.

Even better? These hypoallergenic wipes don’t irritate my sensitive, eczema-prone skin, making them essential in my routine. They’re also non-comedogenic, meaning they won’t accidentally clog pores leading to body acne. I credit the impressive dermatologist-approved ingredients with that win. Think soothing niacinamide, omegas 6 and 9, vitamin-rich plant oils, and a trifecta of eucalyptus oil, water, and extract.

Each box comes with 20 individually wrapped wipes. Because they’re slim, they can easily slip into my beach, work, and gym bags or even my summer dresses with pockets.

The Eucalyptus Water is another standout that embodies Nécessaire’s ethos of clean beauty staples that are made with effective ingredients. As its name implies, this spray is packed with pure essential eucalyptus water to help hydrate my skin after being in the sun all day. It feels especially sublime by the pool, at the park, or waiting on the balmy subway platform.

Not only does it feel good, but this weightless spray has a 360-degree atomizer that emits a quick spritz or a continuous mist for full-body coverage in seconds. The mist can be so powerful that one of my coworkers jokingly asked if I was using a facial steamer at my desk because the coverage is that impressive. Not to mention it smells like a luxe spa without overwhelming my senses, which made it an automatic winner after my first test.

What I’d Change

TBH, I wouldn’t change much about these wipes or the eucalyptus water spray. If I have to be picky, I’d like more scent options, since that’s an area Nécessaire excels at. (It’s one reason why I named The Body Wash as my holy grail cleanser). Still, eucalyptus is such an uplifting and refreshing aroma that I genuinely don’t mind. The fragrance is noticeable enough to enjoy without overwhelming people around me at the office or at restaurants.

The Bottom Line

Ultimately, Nécessaire continues to prove why it’s been a staple in my routine for nearly seven years. The individually wrapped body wipes keep me smelling fresh on the go, and quickly earned a spot in my work, gym, and beach bags. The spray is an excellent choice for staying cool and keeping my skin refreshed after cleansing with the wipes. They’re both products I definitely plan to stock up on this summer to stay clean and confident.
