The rise of at-home beauty treatments has ushered in a new era of high-tech skincare, with red light therapy devices fast becoming the gold standard. Leading the charge? The best LED face masks. While they may look a little Star Wars when strapped on, these futuristic tools – including targeted red light therapy eye masks – have earned a loyal following thanks to their glow-boosting, skin-smoothing credentials. And when A-list celebrities and dermatologists alike are singing their praises, it's safe to say they're more than just a passing trend.

And interest shows no sign of slowing: recovery and performance brand Flowlife says red light therapy now accounts for around 60-65% of its UK sales, reflecting how quickly the technology has moved from specialist recovery circles into the mainstream.

To see if they live up to their claims (and price tags), the Women's Health team took it upon themselves to rigorously test 13 of the most popular LED masks on the market. These were their favourites at a glance:

How do the different coloured lights help the skin?

To find your perfect mask, you must first suss out which lights will benefit your skin the most. Take a look at our handy key:

  • Infrared: This light will ring the most bells as it’s talked about a lot in regards to premature ageing. It’s known for increasing collagen density to help treat fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Red: 'Red light acts directly on the skin cells that help support the production of collagen, which provides support and structure to the skin,' explains Dr Kemi Fabusiwa, medical doctor and founder of the Joyful Skin Clinic. 'It is therefore used to help reverse some of the signs of ageing, and some studies show that it may also be useful for certain types of hair loss.'
  • Amber: It’s rare for this light to be offered by at-home masks (but we’ve found an option, don’t worry). It’s ideal for those with sensitive skin who may be struggling with rosacea or redness. It increases cellular growth to help skin heal and calm any inflammation.
  • Blue: 'Blue light is often used in DIY LED masks as a treatment for acne, due to its potential ability to lower grease production and tackle the bacteria that causes acne,' says consultant dermatologist Dr Sharon Wong.
  • Green: If age spots and hyperpigmentation are your main problem, this is for you. It helps brighten the skin (including dark under eye circles) and is often used to treat broken capillaries.

Meet the experts: Dr Kemi Fabusiwa is a medical doctor and founder of the Joyful Skin Clinic, who specialises in evidence-based skincare treatments and regularly advises on the safe and effective use of skincare technology, including LED light therapy for concerns such as acne, pigmentation and skin ageing. Dr Sharon Wong is a consultant dermatologist and founder of Dose. She specialises in treating hair and scalp disorders and incorporates red light therapy as a supportive, drug-free treatment for both skin and hair concerns.

Best LED masks 2026: The Women's Health verdict

After months of extensive testing, we've compiled a shortlist of the best LED masks dependent on concern. For glowing skin, the cult-favourite CurrentBody Mask takes the crown, while the Keskine LED Light Therapy Face Mask Pro wins for its anti-ageing effects. We rated the Foreo FAQ 202 Mask for how easy it was to wear while multi-tasking, making consistent use more likely, and a special shoutout goes to the Omnilux Clear Mask, which helps reduce the appearance of acne and blemishes, and clear breakouts faster.

How we test LED masks

collection of facial led masks and accessories in use. best led face masks tested

Testing LED face masks from Currentbody, Shark, Flowlife, ULike, Skinvity, Higher Dose and Foreo

Performance

Each of the LED face masks in this round up was tested for a minimum of one month to assess how it performed as part of a regular skincare routine. Our testers incorporated the devices into their usual regimes, monitoring changes in skin tone, texture and overall radiance, as well as more targeted concerns such as fine lines, redness, breakouts, dullness and discolouration.

Practicality

Comfort and ease of use were key. We evaluated how the masks felt on the face, how intuitive they were to operate, treatment times, light intensity and whether sessions were realistic to maintain long term. We also considered practical features such as adjustability, flexibility, cordless use and overall wearability – because consistency is essential to seeing results.

Value

Beyond performance, we assessed value for money, weighing price against technology, build quality and visible results. We also looked for thoughtful extras that make a mask easier to use regularly, such as adjustable straps, padded interiors, flexible shells, travel-friendly designs and cordless functionality. Where relevant, we considered added features like multiple light settings, automatic shut-off timers and vibration or massage functions, prioritising devices that fit seamlessly into everyday life and justify their price tag.

Meet the testers: With over 20 years' combined experience, our expert team brings deep industry knowledge to every review. Florence Reeves-White is our Senior Beauty Writer, specialising in expert-tested beauty, with a strong focus on skincare innovations and science-led beauty tech. Why trust Women's Health?

We know navigating beauty tech can feel overwhelming, especially when buzzy claims and too-good-to-be-true before and after shots fill your feed. That's why we don't just round up the best LED face masks; we actually test them, evaluating them against clear criteria rooted in science, expertise and real-world results.

Our recommendations are guided by expert insight from dermatologists, skin scientists and beauty professionals, plus the years of experience our beauty editors have testing the latest in skincare tech. We combine hands-on testing with thorough research, assessing products for performance, value, ease of use and real-world results, while highlighting any potential drawbacks. The result? Trusted guidance that helps you invest confidently in beauty tech that delivers.

Keskine LED Light Therapy Face Mask Pro

Now 20% Off

Pros

  • Salon-grade, with 1064nm to penetrate deeper skin layers
  • 4 therapy modes
  • Even, full-face coverage with customised wavelengths for each area

Cons

  • Wire may get in the way if multi-tasking

Do you look slightly like an overgrown insect while wearing this? Sure. But LED face masks are not about the aesthetics, people! (At least not while in use.) Futuristic bug looks aside, this Keskine offering delivers, with a whopping 1064nm (that's nanometre wavelength) to penetrate deeper skin layers. So what does that mean? It means more profound anti-ageing effects, as it can target deep wrinkles and through thicker skin.

These higher wavelengths also spell good news for anyone concerned with wound healing, as they can reach past the dermis into subcutaneous tissue and muscles.

There are four therapy modes to choose from; red (plumps skin and reduces wrinkles); yellow (strengthens the skin barrier); purple (controls breakouts) and orange (for brightness and radiance).

The no-glare, mirror-tech design means you can see while wearing the mask (but ideally you'd shut your eyes and relax), and the flexible silicone design means you can contour it comfortably to your face.

It's semi-wireless in the sense that it doesn't have to be plugged into the wall, but does plug into a small control unit during use. This is small enough to slip into a pocket, so isn't too intrusive, but the wire hanging from the base of the mask may get in the way, depending on what you're doing.

Psst! Right now you can get 30% off with the code LED30

RENPHO ARTEMIS LED Face Mask

Pros

  • Affordable compared with many LED masks
  • 324 LEDs for full-face coverage
  • 3 light modes and 5 intensity levels
  • Cordless and rechargeable

Cons

  • Design feels less premium than pricier masks
  • Handheld controller is a little clunky

RENPHO’s Artemis offers plenty of the features we look for in an LED mask at a much more approachable price than many of its premium rivals (particularly while it’s on sale). It has 324 LEDs, three treatment modes and five intensity levels, with red and near-infrared light for firmness and fine lines and blue light for blemish-prone skin.

It’s also cordless (bar the wire that goes into the rechargeable handheld controller) so there are no wires tethering you to the sofa. The mask is made of soft, pliable silicone and has adjustable straps, removable eye cups and a nose and mouth opening, making it easy to wear while getting on with other things. Treatment times can be set to 10, 20 or 30 minutes, although the brand recommends 10 minutes as standard.

The downside is that the design feels a little more basic than pricier masks, and the handheld controller isn’t quite as slick as some others. Still, for a budget-friendly introduction to LED, it packs in a lot of useful features without overcomplicating things.

CurrentBody LED Red Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2

Pros

  • Comfortable fit
  • Great for hormonal breakouts
  • Helps skin look radiant

Cons

  • Takes a couple of months to see results

Naturally glowing skin is a key goal for many of us, and this mask delighted most of our testers by supercharging their radiance. Half found their skin in overall better condition after the month-long trial, with almost everyone planning to continue using it.

It didn't do much for anyone struggling with rosacea or redness, but just under half our panel found their wrinkles less pronounced. The LED lights didn't strain their eyes either, with most finding the mask comfortable to wear for each ten-minute session.

Plus, it comes with an under-chin section – something we haven't seen on other masks – and you can add a neck and decolletage kit too.

Flowlife Flowlight LED Mask Pro

Now 16% Off

Pros

  • Exceptionally easy to use – just strap it on and go, no fussing with modes
  • Secure, moulded fit
  • Easy to see and breathe while wearing it
  • Three light programmes, timings and intensity levels

Cons

  • Can feel sweaty against the skin

Moving swiftly past its Darth Vader-esque looks, this Flowlight mask was one of our favourites during testing. The main reason? It’s incredibly easy to use. The strap is built into the mask, so there’s no faffing around attaching or adjusting multiple parts – simply pop it on and press the button on the temple to start the default 15-minute treatment.

This combines 630nm red and 850nm near-infrared light at the highest of three intensity levels. You can also use the remote to switch between red, near-infrared or a combination of the two, and choose a five, 10 or 15-minute session – but we found ourselves consistently choosing the preset mode.

It has 72 wide-angle LEDs that are designed to deliver even coverage across the face, and this is no doubt helped by the shape of the mask too – although flexible, it’s moulded to the shape of a face, so it feels secure without needing to be pulled tightly into place like some flat masks do.

The large eye opening makes it easy to see and get on with your day, while the vented nose and mouth section prevents it from feeling too claustrophobic. It can get a little sweaty as it sits close to the skin, and some may want more coverage around the eyes, but overall it’s comfortable and fuss-free, which we loved. Plus it folds down neatly for storage in the included bag.

In terms of results, our tester has been using this consistently and has seen a real improvement in fine lines, texture and overall skin quality.

Pros

  • Easy to wear while you do other things
  • Customise your treatment with 8 modes
  • Boosts radiance

Cons

  • Best used with the associated app

One of the most common complaints we found when heard back from our testers about using an LED mask was that many of them made it hard to multitask. Either they had to lay still with their eyes closed, or the light was so bright it hurt their eyes.

Our favourite thing about the FOREO FAQ 202 mask is the fact that you really can go about your usual routine while you're wearing it. While many masks claim to not hinder your eye sight, we found many actually do. But not this one from FOREO.

WH's Ecommerce Editor, Jess, has been using this mask multiple times a week for a year and a half now, and she is an LED convert. She says 'This mask has been an absolute game changer for me. I've not historically been someone with great skin, but in the year and a half I've been using this mask I've lost count of the amount of compliments I've gotten on my complexion. My skin has never been this radiant.'

The mask has eight modes, including blue (great for breakouts), green (great for radiance) and red (great for anti-ageing). Jess typically switches between these three modes, using red the most frequently.

SKINVITY 3 in 1-Silicone LED Mask

Pros

  • Includes a neck and décolletage plate
  • Flexible and comfortable
  • Easy to see and drink while wearing it
  • Face and chest pieces can be used separately

Cons

  • Fixed openings may not suit every face shape

The addition of a separate neck and décolletage plate makes this SKINVITY mask stand out from the crowd. It covers the entire chest and wraps around the neck, allowing you to treat areas that are often neglected – and without having to buy another pricey device.

Our tester found the flexible silicone comfortable to wear, although the fixed eye and mouth openings mean the fit won’t be perfect for every face shape. Her mouth sat slightly above the opening, leaving a small area of her chin with less coverage. On the plus side, it was easy to see and drink (with a straw) while wearing it, so she could get on with other things during a session.

You can choose between blue light or a combination of red and three near-infrared wavelengths, with treatments lasting between 10 and 30 minutes. The intensity adjusts according to the treatment length, so shorter sessions still deliver an effective dose – but can make the inclusion of longer treatments feel a little pointless.

This became the mask our tester reached for most, largely thanks to the chest plate. She noticed the skin there looked smoother and less crepey in the mornings, and liked that it could be used separately when wearing the full set felt like too much. It's worth noting that both pieces connect to the controller, so with the chest plate this does mean running a wire down your top.

Pros

  • Even light coverage across the face
  • Four easy-to-understand preset treatments
  • Feels less claustrophobic than close-fitting masks
  • Noticeably improved skin brightness and texture with consistent use

Cons

  • Eye area may feel uncomfortable – but you're not wearing it for long

With four clearly labelled modes – Firm, Rejuvenate, Clear and Glow – the Ulike ReGlow mask takes the guesswork out of choosing between different wavelengths (because who really knows what 'Red 630nm' means in isolation?). Each setting combines red, yellow, blue and infrared light in different ways, and switching between them using the controller couldn’t be easier.

The rigid mask sits around 1cm away from the skin, which we appreciated: it felt far less hot and suffocating than designs that press directly against the face. The straps were simple to adjust, too, although our tester found the silicone seals slightly uncomfortable around her eyes, but said this may simply be down to the shape of her face.

The mask also uses clever mirror-reflection technology, which is designed to distribute the light evenly across every contour. After consistent use, our testers' skin did look brighter, tighter and smoother in texture. We also lent it to a friend struggling with hormonal acne, who found the Clear mode – combining blue, red and infrared light – particularly helpful for calming her breakouts.

Overall, it’s a user-friendly option with genuinely useful preset programmes and impressive full-face coverage, but the fit around the eyes may not suit everyone.

Pros

  • Portable
  • The silicone eye mask comes out so you can clean it – great when there are multiple people using it
  • Really relaxing thanks to vibration massage
  • Genuinely noticed an improvement to my skin

Cons

  • Quite pricey
  • Apparently you’re not supposed to use it within half an hour of using AHAs or retinoids (but I did not comply with this rule)
  • Some people say it feels claustrophic to wear but I honestly can’t imagine how – it comes off really easily and the velco straps make for a really comfortable fit)

When it comes to things I’ve brought home from work for the purposes of review, my husband’s seen it all. You could fill a library with the books featuring the word ‘menopause’ on the cover and he took one look at the acupressure mat before declaring it a wellness-sanctioned torture device. Suffice to say the man’s unshockable. Or so I thought. But if he wasn’t a fan of the TheraFace mask upon first inspection (a seduction tool, it isn’t) he’s warmed to it. And six months on, he’s clocked up more hours behind the mask’s 648 LED bulbs than I have.

About those bulbs, then. What marks the TheraMask out from many of its competitors is that it’s a full on facial in a mask. The nine-minute cycle features three settings - red for stimulating collagen, blue for fighting the bacteria that causes acne and infrared for boosting circulation and improving skin tone. But it’s the percussive therapy features that send vibrations to key pressure points on the scalp and face while you’re wearing it that make each session feel like a treat. And when things feel like a treat, you feel more incentivised to do them.

This is where I think the real genius in the TheraFace mask lies: it’s so mind-meltingly relaxing that strapping in for a session never feels like a chore, even after the initial novelty of having access to a an LED treatment on tap wears off. And while it’s complete portability means you can technically read, journal and watch Squid Game while wearing it, the gentle buzz that signals the first cycle getting going is enough to make your eyelids feel heavy.

Of course, if you wanted to be relaxed you’d have a bath - and the mask does more than calm your cortisol. I can’t claim to have used it daily - you can, but life gets in the way of even the most gratifying of work tasks. But after six months of using it three times a week, my skin is clearer than ever. Truly, I couldn’t tell you the last time I had a spot. My skin tone looks even, the fine lines - are they…finer? And I finally understand what beauty editors mean when they talk about skin that’s ‘lit from within’. When I take my make-up off, it…glows.

For the purposes of transparency, I’ve changed my lifestyle lately, too. The six months I used the mask has coincided with a period of sobriety, one my dermis thoroughly approves of. But the ritual of popping on the mask for a nine-minute blast is now so ingrained in my weekly routine that the results have ceased to matter; the weight of the device on my face and the heat of the lights combine to create a potent placebo effect of relaxation that I’ve come to rely on.

Pros

  • Clear, step-by-step guidance
  • Tracks treatments and progress
  • Adjustable under-eye cooling
  • Secure, highly adjustable fit

Cons

  • Noisier than other masks
  • Large and relatively heavy

The name of this mask is needlessly complex and at odds with how easy it is to use. It's one of the most comprehensive (and foolproof) masks we tested. Its wired LCD controller guides you through everything, from fitting the mask correctly to choosing between the Better Ageing, Blemish Repair, Skin Sustain and Under-Eye Revive programs. It also recommends how often to use each routine and logs your completed sessions, making it easy to stay consistent.

The mask itself is large and rigid, but the adjustable top and side straps, cushioned sections and optional clip-on chill pads help create a secure, tailored fit. It feels substantial rather than lightweight, although our tester found the weight less noticeable once it was strapped on.

One nifty feature is the under-eye cooling, which can be used alone or alongside an LED routine, with three intensity levels to choose from. Level one felt refreshing – particularly during hot weather – while the higher settings were surprisingly intense (sensitive skins, beware).

The wired controller can be clipped onto your clothes, leaving your hands free, but the mask is noticeably noisier than the others we tried. The cooling pads also take up a sizeable area beneath the eyes where we would have preferred additional LED coverage.

Omnilux Clear

Pros

  • Built-in eye shields and flexible fit for comfort
  • Reduces the appearance of acne and blemishes
  • Remote control means you can multi-task

Cons

  • No infrared light

This FDA-cleared, dermatologist-recommended blue and red light therapy mask is designed to help reduce the appearance of acne and blemishes, and clear breakouts faster. The recommended treatment time is four 10-minute sessions each week, for a total of six weeks (after six weeks you’ll need to give your skin a break).

Combining both red and blue light, the Omnilux Clear has built-in eye shields for comfort. Although, some of our testers found that these dug into their skin – and recommended using it before heading to bed, rather than first thing in the morning. Made from a flexible silicone, it’s light and easy to wear and comes with velcro straps so you can properly secure the mask to your head and wander around the house without it slipping off.

WH Nutrition Editor, Alice Barraclough, says: ‘I’ve suffered with adult acne on and off for the past decade, so I’m always on the lookout for products that can help reduce the appearance of my acne scars and any active blemishes. This mask was recommended to me by a facialist I saw for a micro-needling session and made a visible difference to my skin. Easy to use, flexible (and comfy-ish to wear), there are a lot of things to like about the Omnilux mask. For those who hate sitting still for 10 minutes, it even comes with a remote control which you can pop in your pocket and carry on with your chores.’

Pros

  • Semi-flexible silicone design contours to the face
  • Fast 10 minute treatment time
  • Connect to the app to track treatments

Cons

  • Our tester found it a bit uncomfortable during longer treatments

Lustre began their pioneering work with LED therapy in 2004, initially focusing on improving skin healing for non-melanoma skin cancer patients. Building on these positive results, they developed their technology to target acne, dull skin, and other skin concerns.

The mask features three LED light settings: red light to firm, tighten, encourage collagen production, and combat wrinkles; blue light to fight acne and blemishes; and near-infrared technology to reduce inflammation, increase cellular energy, and boost blood flow.

Our Fashion Editor has been testing their Renew Pro Facewear for the past few months and found the standout benefit to be a faster healing time for blemishes and marks. 'I’m guilty of skin-picking, so I’d often have marks from pimples I’d played with too much (gross, sorry). But I noticed that when using the treatments (particularly the blue light), the recovery time was much shorter than usual.'

The mask is wireless, quick to charge, and connects to an app where you can track your treatments and learn about the science behind it. The only downside is that the forehead area can dig in and feel uncomfortable during longer treatments.

Therabody TheraFace Mask Glo

Pros

  • Built-in scalp massage
  • Cordless and easy to use
  • Reduced redness and boosted radiance
  • Comfortable, full-face coverage

Cons

  • Heavy at 514g

The original TheraFace Mask impressed us with its relaxing vibration therapy, and this more affordable Glo model offers many of the same features. Alongside red, infrared and blue light, it uses Therabody’s VibraWave technology to deliver a gentle scalp massage during each treatment – although you can switch this off if you’d rather focus solely on the LEDs.

Our tester used the mask daily for 12 weeks to target acne scarring, persistent cheek redness and fine lines. She noticed the biggest improvements in her overall skin tone and texture, with reduced redness, fewer small bumps around the cheeks and jawline and a more radiant complexion. Long-standing acne marks also appeared less noticeable, while fine lines around her eyes looked subtly softened.

The results weren’t instant, and she found the most noticeable changes appeared at around the 12-week mark. It didn’t make much difference to deeper forehead or frown lines, but this is hardly surprising from an at-home device. The mask is also fairly heavy and the lack of a mouth opening can feel slightly restrictive, though its cordless design makes it easy to incorporate into an evening routine.

Pros

  • 4 wavelengths for soft, smooth skin and decreased inflammation
  • Quick to use
  • Comfortable

Cons

  • Needs to be plugged in

Multi-tasking skincare products are all the rage these days, so it’s great that this Déesse design doubles up as what can only be described as the *ideal* Halloween mask. If your partner or housemate can hack walking in from work to find a scene from Scary Movie, our testers thought the skin benefits were worth the scary price tag.

They found pigmentation was reduced after the trial period and it left them with soft, smooth skin. It was quick (the same time it takes to boil a brew) and comfortable to wear, with testers noting a decrease in inflammation and breakouts because of the blue light mode, too.

It’s pretty chunky and needs plugging in, so although a great investment for your long-term skin health, it’s not a handy handbag or travel kit tool.

Pros

  • Ideal if you don't like the feeling of something covering your face
  • Quick and easy to use
  • Minimises the look of fine lines

Cons

  • As it's not a leave-on mask, it requires a bit more effort

This mask is diddy enough to chuck into your gym bag if you fancy a post-workout pamper session. It gets the job done in two minutes flat and doesn’t cover your entire face, which any claustrophobes among you will appreciate. This also means it doesn't shine directly into your eyes, leaving most of our testers happy with its brightness.

Not only is it quick, but it also ramped up radiance for many of our panel. It wasn’t as effective on age spots and pigmentation, but just over half said their skin was in better condition by the end of the trial. It minimised the look of fine lines, too – not bad for a handful of speedy sessions. Connecting it to the integrated app (a necessity for it to get going, alas) proved a bit fiddly for some testers, but don't let that put you off.

The LYMA laser is an advanced at-home skincare device that utilises low-level laser therapy (LLLT), a technology initially developed in the 1960s for medical purposes such as cartilage regeneration and tendon healing. Today, the LYMA laser has been reimagined to target skin concerns by stimulating collagen production, improving circulation, and aiding in skin healing. This device promises to reduce acne scars, pigmentation, and fine lines, all without the need for invasive procedures. Using low-level laser therapy rather than relying solely on traditional LED technology, it has quickly become a coveted device among skincare enthusiasts. The LYMA laser has also attracted high-profile fans such as Sienna Miller, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Hailey Bieber, further increasing its appeal.

WH's beauty editor said 'as a busy mum in my late thirties with relatively good skin, I was intrigued by the LYMA laser's potential to help with my pigmentation and a few fine lines. As a Beauty Editor with over a decade of experience testing skincare gadgets, I’ve seen many devices that promise perfect skin, but few live up to the hype. With the LYMA laser, I was hopeful it could provide tangible improvements, especially given the brand’s high-quality reputation and the success of their supplements (which won a prestigious award in the beauty industry).'

She added that consistency is needed to see results, explaining that 'initially, I wasn’t as consistent with using the LYMA laser as I should have been, using it just two or three times a week. However, once I committed to a regular routine, I began to see real results. After cleansing in the evening, I applied the LYMA Glide gel and gently moved the laser across my face, neck, and décolletage for about 30 minutes. Over the course of three months, I used the device most evenings, and gradually reduced to three times a week'.

The device uses a combination of red LED lights and a laser with a 500mW power and 808nm wavelength. These work together to improve skin at a cellular level, stimulating fibroblasts (cells responsible for collagen and elastin production). This process helps reduce wrinkles, improve skin texture, and even out skin tone. What makes the LYMA laser especially appealing is its non-invasive nature – there’s no damage to the outer layers of the skin, making it safe for all skin types and tones.

Using the LYMA laser is simple. After applying the LYMA Oxygen Mist and Glide Gel, you switch the device on, and the blue light appears. Then, you gently move it across your face, focusing on specific areas for three minutes if needed.

The device is painless and feels warm, more like a soothing massage than anything else. It’s easy to incorporate into an evening routine, and our tester never experienced irritation or redness. The results, while gradual, became noticeable after a few weeks of consistent use. Our testers skin appeared smoother, more even in tone, and her crow’s feet visibly reduced. LYMA recommends using the laser daily for the first 12 weeks, then reducing to three times a week for maintenance.

At £2,000, the LYMA laser is a significant investment. However, it’s important to consider the potential cost and downtime of in-clinic treatments, which can be more expensive and come with recovery time. For those looking for a non-invasive, convenient at-home option, the LYMA laser offers a compelling alternative. It’s not a miracle worker, but for our tester, the improvements in skin texture and tone over time make it a worthwhile investment.

Pros

  • Firm and tighten the neck and décolletage area
  • Full neck coverage
  • Easy to multi-task with no lights around your face

Cons

  • The cost of covering face, neck and décolletage adds up

Have you ever heard the saying 'your face ends at your chest' and wondered what on earth that meant? Essentially, it means that you should be using all the same skincare products that you're using on your face on your neck and décolletage, too.

Focusing all your attention on just your face can enhance the appearance of signs of ageing on your neck and chest, as the difference between the areas can be more stark.

Once you've started seeing the benefits of using an LED mask on your face, it makes sense that you'd want to increase the surface area of the treatment, and the CurrentBody LED Neck & Décolletage Mask helps you do just that.

The mask covers your neck and most of the chest, emitting red and infrared wavelengths through 50 LEDs that work to firm, tighten and brighten the skin in that area.

This mask is well and truly A-lister approved, with celebs like Olivia Coleman and Naomi Watts both known to be fans.

This Works Red Light Body Wrap Duo

Pros

  • Can be worn almost anywhere – head, chest, neck, belly, legs
  • Simple one-button operation
  • Two wraps included
  • Easy to fit into daily life

Cons

  • Feels warm during use
  • A storage bag would be useful

OK, it’s not a mask, but this clever LED wrap is worth including here as you can use it basically anywhere. The two flexible pads can be worn around the legs, chest, abdomen, neck or scalp, making them a genuinely versatile option for anyone who wants to treat more than just their face.

The beauty lies in its simplicity. There are no modes to decipher, you just secure the wrap with the generous Velcro strap, press the button and get on with your day. Each 20-minute session uses clinically relevant 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared light, and the brand recommends using it at least three times a week. That ease matters, because consistency is key with LED.

We also like that you get two wraps, so you can treat both legs or two areas at once. Testers have used them across postpartum bellies and around the waist after significant weight loss, including weight loss linked to GLP-1 medications, where improving the look and feel of skin texture is often a priority.

For an extra step, pair it with the brand's Red Light Power Serum, a non-greasy formula designed to support skin and hair density and enhance the benefits of the wrap.

Pros

  • Use all over – face and body
  • Design means you have to lie down (possibly a con, depending on how relax-averse you are)
  • Clinic-grade, with blue, red and near-infrared light

Cons

  • Not ideal if you want to get other things done during treatment

This unusual looking LED was a real hit for rosacea sufferers and those with patches of redness – on their face and body. You can move it around according to your skin’s needs in different areas, whereas much of the competition is just for the face and décolletage if you’re lucky. It may just be us, but the adaptability of this mask feels like you’re getting more bang for your buck.

It provided a moment of calm for those who used it regularly, breaking up their day with an eyes-closed, lie down treatment set-up – it doesn’t have eye holes, so you really do have to lean into the R&R like you would in a professional LED facial. Some testers loved this, telling us it made for a mindful moment as well as a skincare slay, but others (hello Type As) said they didn’t like sitting still and would have preferred the option to multi-task (as you can do with other masks).
